Your body is an amazing machine. Even more so when it’s tuned. Here are some ways to vary your workout, because your body adapts quickly to the same-old same-old. And doing exercises correctly means your workout is far more efficient.



Tricep


  1. The lateral head is located on the outward facing side of the humerus. This head is most responsible for the horseshoe shape of the triceps.
  2. The medial head is located towards the midline of the body.
  3. The long head along the bottom side of the humerus and is that largest of the three heads.

Function: The primary function of the tricep is to extend the elbow (straightening the arm).

Exercises: Exercises that work the tricep include:

  • Pushdowns
  • Dips
  • Lying Extensions
  • Overhead Dumbbell extensions
  • Close-grip bench press
  • Body Tricep Extension
